In our lives, we can never say that we have a 5.5-inch screen so comfortable. Thanks to the small screen frame, a large part of the 5.5-inch screen can be easily accessed with a thumb. Of course, when trying to use one hand, you have to move the phone in the palm of your hand to reach the bottom or top of the screen. The front of the Q6 is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen glass. Although not the latest iteration, this screen glass looks as good as it looks. The LG Q6 has an edge profile thickness of 8.1 mm. To tell you the truth, the phone is a bit thick. However, thanks to the low surface area, the negativity that this thickness can cause in ergonomics is eliminated. The edge frame is made of metal, very strong against scratches or abrasions.
The metal frame cuts the antenna strips at certain places. However, we can not say the same thing for the plastic surface covering the back surface. From the first day, the back surface, which was given the appearance of brushed metal, began to be affected by small scratches and abrasions. If you want to keep the back of the LG Q6 clean, it would be good to keep it away from hard objects like keys, coins. It should be noted that the structure of the rear surface extending in a curved shape toward the edges also positively contributes to ergonomics. We said that the front side was covered by a 5.5-inch screen. Below that is a narrow LG LG logo. At the top is a handset loudspeaker, sensors, and a 5-megapixel camera. On the left are the volume keys and the tray that houses the nanoSIM and microSD card slots. The power button is on the right-hand side. Sound and power keys are easily accessible while you hold the keys. On the upper edge, the second microphone is on the lower edge, the main microphone is 3.5 mm. a headphone jack and a microUSB port. It is somewhat surprising to see the microUSB port on the LG Q6 in an environment where the USB-C port is spreading, even in mid-segment phones. Still, let me say that you did your job well.
Behind the LG G6 was a fingerprint reader that was also used as a power button. But in Q6, the power button is on the right side, as we said. There’s no fingerprint reader at the back. Actually, the phone is nowhere. LG has not included the biometric authentication method on this phone. Instead, we have included an alternative method, such as face recognition, which we will refer to when it comes time. The most noticeable detail on the back is the 13 megapixel resolution camera. There’s an LED flash next to it. We see a small Q6 logo towards the lower limb. The loudspeaker is placed so that it will come to the bottom left of it. This small speaker provides a sound output that can be counted for a smartphone despite its size. The sound level is high and the pressure is low. If you want to sound out and listen to music or watch movies, it might be better to use a Bluetooth speaker. The LG Q6’s 5.5-inch screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. Instead of 16: 9, the 18: 9 aspect ratio is preferred, just as it is on the G6’s screen. This opens up 240 rows of new pixels on the screen. With a pixel density of 442 ppi, we have a screen that is as sharp and crisp as we can see with crisp images and text.
However, the contrast of the display is a little high, which is particularly noticeable at small text and image boundaries, causing me to see small fluctuations. The screen with IPS LCD technology has wide viewing angles. In terms of colors, the scales are escaping to the cold section if it is light. When you look at the whites, you can feel this coldness a little bit. The screen has rounded corners like the G6. This adds a bit of visual beauty. When you want to watch YouTube videos on the 18: 9 aspect ratio screen, black columns are waiting for you. Along with this, you can zoom in on the full screen. With the help of the compatibility mode, however, it is possible to operate the applications so that they are fully seated on the screen. The LG Q6 has a Snapdragon 435 processor. It has eight cores and a clock frequency of 1.4 GHz and is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory.
Memory cards with capacities of up to 256 GB also make it possible to support storage space, more files and more space. The hardware components that the Q6 has are promising on average at paper level, and benchmark tests support it. Nevertheless, in everyday use the LG Q6 does not have any problems, it fulfills its expectations well. Throughout the time we used, we observed that the user interface was flowing very smoothly. Practices and games are unfolded without delay, and the internet is also at a satisfying level. Maybe it does not play high resolution videos like 4K, but for Full HD, this phone offers enough performance for the best resolution videos that the screen would normally support.
